Details
There's a reason Syrah and Grenache blends work so well, and this pink-hued version is another great reminder! It carries the best from both the varietals. Juicy strawberry and watermelon flavours from the Grenache, with white pepper, spice and floral tones from the Syrah. Together making a beautiful, playful rosé with concentrated fruit, a supple medium body and savoury finish. Great drinking!
Origin: The spiritual home of rosé is Provence, in Southern France. Mainly Grown In: Rosé is found all over the world these days, but coastal regions are especially well suited to the growing of red grapes for rosé. Key Facts: Rosé is predominantly made from red grape varieties. The colour in wine is actually from pigments found in the skins of the grapes, so even red grapes have clear-coloured juice. The colour is then ‘bled’ out of the skins by infusing the skins into the juice. So for rosé, the wine simply spends far less time hanging out with the skins! Rarely you will find a rosé that is a combo of white and red grapes – they’re not ‘less good’, just less common. Rosé is super versatile – it suits any occasion. Best to always have a bottle in the fridge, just in case, you know… Wednesday happens or something. Fun Fact: Rosé from Southern France, such as Provence and Minervois, is like the "little black dress" or smart suit jacket of the rosé wine world. Sometimes nothing beats the classics.

Pairing guide
This juicy, delicious rosé wine from Chateau de Paraza is a delightfully blushing blend fo Grenache and Syrah packed full of bright fruit flavour and capable of standing up to an impressive range of dishes. You could pair this wine with fish and seafood (it’s going to be great with tuna salads, too), as well as grilled chicken, and even lamb. However, if you really want to find a pairing that stands out, get this wine matched up with some southeast Asian cuisine - Thai red curries, Malay dishes, satay… even Indian curries like a rogan would also be delicious here.
