Details
Styled after the southern French dry rosés but crafted from mix Nero d’Avola, Grenache, Negroamaro and Greco from a single vineyard. The grapes are co-fermented and this is a dry rosé with heaps of fruit. Ripe strawberry, watermelon with a layer of dried herbs. Fleshy with punchy acidity that keeps this super refreshing. Crisp, crunchy and long.
Good things come to those who wait and for sure Ashley & Holly Ratcliff, the couple behind Ricca Terra have spent some time to create their own wines. During decades of work in the Industry, Ashley picked up the Best Viticulturist award one year. So basically if you’re a grape in Australia you want to be grown by Ashley. With an eye for sustainability the couple have planted and purchased in Barmera in South Australia. The Riverland is an area that gets lots of sun but not much rain; many of the vineyards are irrigated heavily. With pressure on water supply in Australia they have identified grapes that work best in warmer, mediterranean climates that demand less water. Plantings of Nero d’Avola, Vermentino and so on are planted over their ten different sites to create their unique and interesting wines. Understanding of climate and marrying the vineyards to the best possible grape varieties while reducing water demand they hope to create some of the best vineyards in Australia. Pairing guide
Laid-back, elegant, and beautifully refreshing, this stunning pink wine from Ricca Terra Farms is exactly the kind of vino we love to reach for on a sunny day. It’s gorgeous with most pasta dishes, especially tomato-based pasta, and is also going to work really nicely with risotto, vegetable terrines, pate, and homemade dips with crudites and flatbreads. Keep things simple with a fresh green salad, or branch out a little with Malaysian satay, a spicy laksa, or a Thai coconut curry - it’s all going to go down a treat with this wine!

Wine region

Riverland, Australia
Located in the heart of South Australia, the Riverland wine region is a tropical paradise for wine lovers. The region was formerly known for its traditional wines, particularly Shiraz, Chardonnay, and Grenache as well as its abundance of sunshine and beautiful scenery. In the last few years it's added a raft of Mediterranean varieties to its charm - think Fiano and Nero d'Avola. The warm climate and fertile soils of the Riverland make it a perfect place for grape growing, and the wines produced there are bursting with flavour. So why not explore the wines of the Riverland and discover a new favourite?
