Details
The refreshment and fun factors are both high here, with plenty of white peach, lychee and mandarin fruit flavours really to the fore, backed up by a tickle of spritz. There's some floral elderflower kind of notes in there as well, and it all adds up to either the best breakfast wine ever, or if that seems irresponsible, then just a handy bottle to have in the fridge. (But seriously - a bowl of fruit and a small glass of moscato......perfect start to Saturday).

Moscato is a really special style of sparkling wine, made from the aromatic Muscat variety. The wine is the combination of halting the fermentation before it is finished (so leaving some sweet sweet sugar in the wine) and also fermenting to produce a slight spritz. This little kick of carbonation isn't a full blow sparkling, but just enough to get the tastebuds into gear and your heart pounding a little faster. The main flavours drift towards peach, mandarin and lychee, with an edge of sweetness. Alcohol levels and spritziness are low, making for a perfectly refreshing and easy drinking wine! Pairing guide
It’s been a fantastic few years for Moscato, as this delightful bottle from Pete’s displays. If you’re looking for an ideal pairing for this delicately fragrant wine, then you’d do well to look to spicier Asian fare (especially Sichuan dishes, Korean, and Thai classics). Alternatively, pair it with something fresh, light, and salty - we love this wine with salt cod fritters, cheeses such as feta and goats’ cheese, and various antipasto favourites.

Wine region
Riverina, Australia

The region has a hot and dry climate with long summers and cool winters, making it ideal for growing grapes. The home of Riverina is Griffith where there is a wide range of wines produced from classic Shiraz and Chardonnay to one of the most recognised wines in Australia, the De Bortoli Noble One.
