Details
Marselan is a crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache that was designed specifically for the warm Languedoc region. Here blended with Syrah, it makes a full-bodied wine with plenty of flavours. Rich right off the bat with concentrated bramble fruits and smooth chocolaty flavours. Followed by, layers of dried lavender, freshly cracked pepper and warming spices. There's an intriguing movement of flavours here from start to finish that hit a great balance of earthiness and ripe fruit with a kick!

Minervois is a region esteemed for its vineyard landscapes that are perched upon a breathtaking backdrop of southern French foothills. This exciting region also boasts a rich and remarkably deep wine history. Archaeological evidence shows that viticulture here dates back to early-Roman times. The Chateau de Paraza Estate is certainly no new kid on this vineyard block. In fact, while under Louis the XIVth (14th) Chateau de Paraza served as a base during part of the building of the canal that connects the Mediterranean sea to the Atlantic Ocean. If the walls of Chateau de Paraza could talk, we know there would be a bookcase worth of colourful wine stories to tell. Jump ahead to our modern century and you'll find the close-knit Danglas family — parents and three children, Lucile, Matthieu, and Antoine — doing all the hands-on work in the vineyard and winery. They have a clear winemaking philosophy; to honour the tradition of the estate with a keen eye on sustainable agriculture. The proof of success is in the glass. The wine of Chateau de Paraza speaks a voice true to their unique terroir and the estate's rich history.

Pairing guide
This wine from Chateau de Paraza is a classic blend of their home region and crafted with power and fruit at the fore. It deserves a rustic, meaty, hearty dish, or some fun on the BBQ with lots of pepper and spice! Lamb fits the bill very nicely, especially when cooked in a Moroccan tagine or rich stew, as does game meat, and sirloin or t-bone steak with pepper sauce. You can also think more casual, like kebabs and burgers with a thick slab of cheddar melted on top. Look for something deeply flavoured, especially rustic home-cooked dishes and you’ll be onto a winner.
