Details
This is an absolute powerhouse, blending Shiraz, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is intense and complex, loaded with vanilla, chocolate and baked red fruits. The palate is seamlessly smooth, with ultra-fine tannins and a wealth of fruit on the palate. It is a persistent wine, gentle, with endless flavour.

Daniel Buono is an accomplished winemaker, with more that 25 years of experience in the Argentine wine industry, and 2 separate viticultural degrees. His broad talents are well put to use at Bodega Molina, an estate that has an equally impressive history. Family owned by the Molina clan, who have lived in Argentina and Chile for the past 400 years, the estate is small but meticulously run. They focus on producing just 4 wines from their range of hand-tended vineyards - everything is done slowly and carefully to ensure the fruit that goes into the wines is in perfect condition. The preference is for full-bodied and intense wines, supported amply by a strong framework of oak. The richness of the Mendoza sunshine translates into hearty wines that envelop the palate and coat the mouth with extreme flavours. Daniel manages to coax every drop of flavour out of the grapes, and the wines are some of the most intense in all of Argentina. Pairing guide
This is such a full-throttle wine, it really needs some intense flavours to stand up to the weight and power. The obvious matches are going to be things like BBQ chops, slow-braised ribs, beef wellington and other rich meaty things, but it would also work with rich mushroom dishes or perhaps roast winter vegetables like beetroot and parsnip. For an easier yet still flavour-packed option, try a glass of this with a steak sandwich on a Saturday afternoon!
