Details
Really intriguing blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon from high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza. Modern and plush with rich fruit and plenty of oak, but there is still freshness on the finish. Dark fruit, medium-bodied and with a lovely peppery kick on the finish.

Alchimia de los Andes is a winery in the middle of a revolution, in more than one sense. On the one hand the macro - the entire wine industry of Argentina is changing, with smaller new wineries popping up and the bigger ones taking a long hard look at themselves and doubling down on their vineyard work and commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. On the micro level, the winery itself is changing, releasing fun and fresh new blends where in the past the approach was far more classic. There's change in the wind, and it's blowing this way! The vineyard is located in Barrancas, Maipú, at 750 meters above sea level, on a landscape marked by canyons and ridges, and framed by the stunning Andean range that endows it with a special beauty. Its alluvial, stony soils are irrigated by the Mendoza River waters. Warm and sunny days give way to cool nights. The terroir expresses itself through vines and not the other way round. The vines at Alchimia de los Andes are the vehicle, and the essence is in the alchemy. The wine quality has remained high, but the approach is clearly changing, and it's exciting to see what the future will bring. Really intriguing blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon from high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza.Modern and plush with rich fruit and plenty of oak, but there is still freshness on the finish.
