MORE ACID! Stop and smoosh your nose into some orchard blossoms and then try every kind of green apple – fresh and crunchy, baked and squishy, dried and chewy. Every nuance is there when old vine Eden Valley fruit is combined with time in barrel for extra texture. It’s giving Alsatian sensations with its tongue-lashing complexity, showing layered honey, chalk and nutty notes, before it finishes dry.

Worlds Apart Wines are artisan wines made from the best vineyards in South Australia. After more than a decade working in fine wine retail and the world’s best restaurants, Louis Schofield created Worlds Apart Wines in 2017 with a simple goal: to make wine thoughtfully, that is also delicious. Sourcing sustainably grown grapes from significant sites in Eden Valley, McLaren Vale and their own backyard in the Adelaide Hills, Schofield and his fiancé Hannah Jeffery are delivering on a promise to make beautiful wine that is eminently drinkable and downright delicious. Louis draws on his training under the late, great winemaker Taras Ochota, and makes wines inspired by cult Australian and European producers, famed Burgundies, and winemaker peers and friends in the Adelaide Hills and surrounds. He continues to make wine at Ochota Barrels and co-owns Hellbound, arguably Adelaide’s best underground wine bar.

Pairing guide
With its bright and intensely citrus notes, this Eden Valley Riesling is a real testament to the skill of the winemakers at Worlds Apart, and one we just know you’re going to love. It’s especially good with white fish and shellfish, and will work very well with Asian citrus chicken and turkey dishes, too. Medium-spiced Indian curries, Thai chilli dishes, Chinese Sichuan classics and Tex-Mex chicken, fish and veggie tacos will all offer memorable pairings, and it’s also great with schnitzel, potato salad, green leafy salads and dishes which put soft cheeses and fresh herbs in the spotlight.
