Worlds Apart Wines are artisan wines made from the best vineyards in South Australia. After more than a decade working in fine wine retail and the world’s best restaurants, Louis Schofield created Worlds Apart Wines in 2017 with a simple goal: to make wine thoughtfully, that is also delicious. Sourcing sustainably grown grapes from significant sites in Eden Valley, McLaren Vale and their own backyard in the Adelaide Hills, Schofield and his wife Hannah Jeffrey are delivering on a promise to make beautiful wine that is eminently drinkable and downright delicious. Louis draws on his training under the late, great winemaker Taras Ochota, and makes wines inspired by cult Australian and European producers, famed Burgundies, and winemaker peers and friends in the Adelaide Hills and surrounds. He and Hannah have recently built their own winery in the Hills, to ensure the future of Worlds Apart.

Pairing guide
Generous and fruit-forward, this Grenache thrives with hearty, unfussy food. Think barbecue burgers, smoky pulled pork sliders, or a classic pepperoni pizza. It pairs beautifully with slow-cooked lamb shoulder, roast vegetables, or a comforting beef stew. Try it with spicy sausages, chorizo tacos, or a stacked club sandwich with roast meats. The supple fruit balances smoky flavours and mild spice, making it great with sticky ribs or grilled chicken wings. Hard cheeses like aged cheddar or manchego are also excellent companions.
