Details
Inspired by the sparkling Chenin Blanc wines of the Loire Valley, this Margaret River bubbly is all about refreshment and delicacy, with this super tangy style that couldn't be any more crisp and clear. Lemon, grapefruit and yellow apples are the go here with a light bodied, chalky style that is just perfect for a long afternoon in the sunshine
Talk about contrasts. As you drive down Caves Road in Margaret River, on one side of the road, you pass the cheesy fun of the Yallingup farm and mini golf (with a full 18 holes!), and on the other, the engrossing biodiverse beauty of the Windows Estate. As custodians of this property, Chris Davies and his wife Jo believe this unique place isn't just a vineyard, it's a living, breathing organism. Two natural springs rise on the property, feeding five different plots and three completely different soil types. It's a grapegrowing kaleidoscope, farmed organically with minimal additions, no irrigation, and everything done by hand (right down to whipper snippering the weeds rather than using sprays). And the wines? Well, they're just as considered, with moderation, savouriness, and the sort of detail that you would normally see in much fancier wines from much more far-flung places. The only challenge is about volume. With just 9 hectares of vines, the Windows Estate releases are among the most sought-after 'wines you'll never know about' in the country. We're stoked to have some at GPD finally!

Pairing guide
Fresh, dry and oh-so-fine, the 2023 Petit Lot Mousseux is all about zesty citrus, delicate florals, and a mineral edge from the Margaret River terroir. Think of it as your brunch MVP—smoked salmon bagels, creamy scrambled eggs, or a wedge of frittata with goat’s cheese and herbs. For snacks, try oysters with lemon, salty crisps, or aged parmesan. The fine bubbles and brisk acidity cut beautifully through creamy textures and rich umami, making it surprisingly versatile. Whether it’s a celebration starter or a midweek pick-me-up, this sparkling is bright, elegant and always up for a good time.
