Details
You can get lost in the aromas of this Syrah! Wonderfully fragrant and inviting, with aromas of violets, blueberry, and fresh blood plum. You see these frivolous and fun characters both immediately and through to the palate. Lots of fleshy, vibrant and juicy fruits, and just a hint of pepper and a lick of tannin. Great quality fruit and feeling, you could easily open a second bottle. Positively charming!

The story of Willow & Goose wines will bring a tear to your eye with their emotional and devastatingly true tale of survival. Finding hope from the support of an incredible community, what was experienced by this family is more heart-breaking than most will see in a lifetime. Winemaker Jack Wilson (Willow) and his family faced devastation in the fierce Adelaide Hills 'Cuddle Creek' bushfire in 2019. The wines we see today are a story of resilience. A family, overcoming enormous tragedy... now commemorating a lost home, and their harrowing experience through their amazing yet earnest wines. Interestingly, the Willow and Goose wines are made to help fund charities such as 'OpBlue' - oriented around the global clean water crisis, and a bushfire recovery organisation helping those still in the healing stages of that summer's distressing events. The funky name ‘Willow & Goose’ represents Jack, being Willow, and Goose being someone very special to him; the light in his world when all seemed lost.

Pairing guide
This elegant Syrah really delivers when it comes to deep fruit flavours and food-friendly versatility. It’s a superb wine for serving with bistro classics like cassoulet, steak tartare, and herby sausages in a rich gravy, but it’s every bit as good with Italian favourites like lasagna and bolognese, and with vegetarian dishes made from beetroot, red cabbage, and slow-cooked tomatoes. Meaty fish dishes of roast salmon and seared tuna will work well, and you can’t go wrong with Syrah and wild mushrooms, strong cheeses, and charcuterie.

Wine region
Adelaide Hills, Australia
The Adelaide Hills wine region, located in South Australia's Mount Lofty Ranges of South Australia is characterised by its high altitude, cool climate, and diverse soils, which all contribute to the unique terroir that produces elegant, complex, and expressive wines. The region's altitude ranges from 400 to 700 meters above sea level, creating a cooler climate than other wine regions in South Australia. The cool temperatures slow down the ripening process of the grapes, resulting in wines with high acidity, delicate aromatics, and elegant flavours. Top sub-regions are Lenswood, Piccadilly Valley, and Basket Range, each with unique microclimates and diverse soil types that produce singular wine styles, the highlights are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and a whole lot more!
