Details
Lightly spiced Sangiovese, that is so varietally pure. Loaded with raspberry, cranberry, some woody spice, and a savoury backbone. A slurpy, medium bodied palate with cherries, cola and paprika. The tannins glide with a little bit too much ease, making this so much fun to enjoy... the kind of wine that will have your glass empty before you know it! Delicious.
White Stripes is one of the projects from talented duo Nina Stocker and Callie Jemmeson, both with a raft of winemaking and growing experience under their belt, but with plenty of pizzaz and fresh ideas for delicious and drinkable wine - they are our kind of women! Nina and Callie believe that winemaking doesn't have to have barriers but what it does need is quality, focus and a destination. Their combined winemaking experience criss-crosses the globe across 5 countries - they LOVE their work. White Stripes is part of an ambitious dream to capture five principal ‘passions’ - wine, music, friends, family and food! It is a truly Italian approach to wine, and Callie's keen eye for detail and judiciously experimental approach has paid dividends and the proof is in the glass. These are great wines - approachable and earthy, with plenty of soul. Complex yet fun is the unofficial motto of the White Stripes duo - wine should be enjoyable, and most importantly provide perfect harmony to crusty bread, a hunk of salami and great company.

This wine is perfect for pairing with all your classic Italian favourites; it’s going to be delicious with arrabbiata sauces, bolognese, lasagne, puttanesca, and red pesto creations. It’s also a great choice for family favourites like chilli con carne, and will work very well with roasted red capsicum, lamb stews, and bean soups. Yum!
