Details
A classically styled brut sparkling wine made from a mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aged on lees for over two years. It's lifted and floral, with honeysuckle and orange blossom notes, backed up by pear, strawberry and nougat. It's creamy but light, with effortless acidity, and finishes dry and fresh with flavours of hazelnut and grapefruit.

The secluded region of the Great Southern in Western Australia has to be the highest quality 'under the radar' region in the country. The West is often overlooked by the flashier east coast, but the wine regions there are perfectly situated and these days have mature vineyards that are producing some of Australia's best wines! West Cape Howe was founded in 1997 and has continued to pick up steam over the years. Over time it has acquired some of the oldest vineyard resources in the state, giving it un-equalled access to the best and most consistent quality fruit that the cool Great Southern wine region has to offer. Their Langton vineyard was first planted in 1978, and is managed according to sustainable vineyard practices, taking cues from organics. Superb fruit also comes from areas including Mount Barker, Albany, Frankland, Margaret River and the Perth Hills. The winemaking team has stayed the same for over a decade at West Cape Howe, ensuring constant improvement and a brilliant consistency of style. Cheers to their continued success!

Pairing guide
Elegant, creamy, and with a nice bite, this sparkler from West Cape Howe is about as food-friendly as they come. Made from the classic blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, when it comes to pairing, you can treat this bottle of Aussie fizz in the same way as you would a non-vintage Champagne… that is, it’s going to pair with pretty much anything. We especially like this wine with deep-fried food (especially southern fried chicken, or breaded camembert), smoked salmon, omelettes, and anything featuring creamy cheeses or mascarpone enriched sauces.
