Details
Fizz meets finesse in this lively Prosecco from the Limestone Coast. Bursting with green apple, pear, and a zingy twist of lemon zest, it’s got a super fine bubble and a creamy, soft mousse that dances across the palate. Dry, fresh, and oh-so-sippable, this bottle brings just enough complexity to keep it interesting, without stealing the show.

Wangolina is a modern, forward-thinking winery situated between the coastal towns of Kingston & Robe in the Mt Benson region of the Limestone Coast. Whilst the property has been in family hands since the 1800s, vines were first planted in 1999 by John & Anita Goode with plantings of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon & Sauvignon Blanc. Anita now runs the place solo, and the vineyard has expanded to include Pinot Gris, Grüner Veltliner and northern Italian native Malvasia Istriana. In 2001, Anita harvested and made the first vintage from the Wangolina vineyard and, since then, has never looked back. She worked vintages in Washington and Oregon, as well as Langhorne Creek, the Hunter Valley and Tasmania, before returning home and taking the reins full-time from 2013. Anita wears many hats at Wangolina: winemaker, vineyard manager and farmer on her 700-acre cattle farm. All of these roles she fulfils with passion, pride and dedication. The cool climate and coastal location of the vineyard mean that the wines are naturally fresh and built around acidity, and Anita's appreciation of the global wine scene ensures they remain balanced between fruit and freshness. A hidden gem of a producer!

Pairing guide
This bubbly beauty is your all-day, all-occasion sparkling sidekick. Start with brunch: think smoked salmon bagels, zucchini fritters, or a wedge of quiche Lorraine. The fizz and acidity cut beautifully through creamy textures and richer flavours. Come aperitivo hour, it shines with crunchy arancini, marinated olives, or a slice of truffle salami. For mains, seafood is a no-brainer — crumbed whiting, fish tacos with slaw, or a lemony pasta primavera are all winners. And don’t forget the snacks: salty popcorn, kettle chips, or even a cheeky wedge of triple-cream brie will make this Prosecco pop. It’s also a fabulous cocktail base — try a Prosecco spritz with a splash of elderflower liqueur for next-level sipping.

Wine region
Limestone Coast, Australia
The Limestone Coast is a large wine zone in the south-east of South Australia which has six wine regions that comprise the Limestone Coast; Coonawarra, Mount Benson, Mount Gambier, Padthaway, Robe and Wrattonbully. The Limestone Coast is in a unique position with cool winds and ocean waters throughout the summer months thanks to an oceanic event called the Bonney Upwelling which helps keep the vineyards cool during the hot summer months. The Limestone Coast produces a wide range of quality wines from classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz in Coonawarra to cool-climate varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Robe and Mount Gambier. It is truly a versatile area and one of the backbones of the Australian wine industry.
