Details
Project wines reflect Voyager's love of creating artisanal wines from special parcels of grapes; this early-drinking ‘Nouveau’ (mostly Cabernet, with a glug of Malbec and a slosh of Cab Franc and Merlot) is delicious right from the get-go, with juicy squished fruit-of-the-forest berries, classic Margs chocolate/eucalyptus notes, and a hint of black olive. It’s firm but fruity and great to chill too!
Established in 1978 by farmer and regional pioneer Michael Wright, Voyager Estate is one of the founding wine estates in Margaret River. For more than forty years, the Wright family - Michael and now his daughter Alexandra Burt - have been creating delicious wines of place with true character, so it's no doubt with that kind of time learning their vines, that this estate is making top-notch stuff. Not only are their wines deliciously elegant and refined due to the cooling sea breeze of their maritime climate — Voyager Estate resides only five clicks from the famous surf beach — but Alexandra and her team have a strong commitment to sustainability, and will be certified organic in 2023. Carbon neutral, certified sustainable, and pesticide-free; they've had a long-term commitment to making fabulous wine, and they have a long-term commitment to sustainable farming. Protecting both their parcel and the planet is at the forefront of all decisions made in the vineyard and winery for Voyager, and we couldn't be more on board with that.

Pairing guide
Made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the peerless Margaret River region, this minimal intervention red blend never fails to make a lasting impression. Perfect for steak night - especially if said steak is doused in a peppercorn or wild mushroom sauce - it’s a wine that deserves to be paired with bold and punchy flavours. Don’t be shy with ingredients like garlic, smoked onion, and truffle, and serve alongside melt-in-the-mouth leg of lamb and buttery kale dishes for maximum impact. Mushrooms, lentils in red wine, and duck with berry sauce are also highly recommended here!
