Details
When you are in the mood for something, yet can’t quite put your finger on it, we have the wine for you. There is plenty for everyone with this Trebbiano with a veritable fruit basket on offer with apple, melon and pineapple offerings underpinned by a sliver of flint and leesy texture. It’s lean, mean and one fighting machine for those who are indecisive from time to time.
Vallevo is a very well regarded co-operative winery in the region of Abruzzo, on the eastern coast of Italy. Co-operative wineries buy fruit from a collection of local growers and blend it together to make wines that are fantastic summations of the 'regional character' of particular areas. During the last forty years, Vallevo have grown to more than 500 members with close to 2,000 acres of vineyards. The co-operative produces a large variety of differnet wines, but their best are easily those made from the local Abruzzo varieties. Fruit for these wines is sourced from the co-operative's top one hundred family producers and is consistently the best fruit available in the region. Winemaker Gianni Pasquale is responsible for the sourcing and blending of these wines, and the Abruzzo local does an admirable job.

Pairing guide
With its crisp, dry character and delicious flavour profile, this beautiful Trebbiano is sure to be the star of your dining table and a real crowd-pleaser of a wine. It’s the perfect pairing partner for Genovese-style pesto and various traditional pasta dishes, and will work equally well with chicken cooked with heaps of torn basil and plenty of aged Italian cheese. Roast poultry will work well here, as will seafood pasta and rice dishes, white pizza and aromatic creamy pork preparations - again, with plenty of fresh green herbs. Delicious!

The two famed grape varieties have varied levels of quality with the outstanding examples from Emidio Pepe which are truly sought after.
