Details
Perfectly poised, this is a Syrah of real class. It shows beautifully ripe and fresh black cherry, with some red plum and cracked pepper. There's a background of cardamom and earth, and the tannins and oak spices intertwine to provide support for the abundant fruit on the palate. Very warm and comforting, this is wonderful stuff.

Pairing guide
This delicious Syrah packs in no shortage of flavour and character, and we’ve loved getting up close and personal with a bottle of this beauty alongside some of our favourite dishes! Syrah is always going to be happiest when served with grilled or barbecued meat. Beef steaks, ribs, chicken wings, lamb chops… if it can be charred over coals, it’ll pair well with this wine. Garlic is always a great flavour for pairing with Syrah, whether in garlic sausages, olive tapenade, or another vegetarian creation, it’s likely to work wonders on the palate. The great Mediterranean herb trio of thyme, rosemary, and oregano are also flavours to keep in mind - they’re going to love being matched with this red wonder!

This is the Swartland, a wine region located in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Here, the wines are bold and full-bodied, with flavours and concentration that will knock your socks off. The winemakers of the Swartland are a rebellious bunch, always pushing the boundaries and experimenting with new techniques. In fact, the Swartland has become a hub for innovation and experimentation in the wine world, pioneered by a few, forward-thinking winemakers who have dared to challenge the status quo by working with an eclectic mix of grape varieties.
