Details
Lots to enjoy from this youthful crispy Grigio! The best thing is, it is entirely guilt-free! You can expect all the flavours of a crisp white wine; zesty, and bright with plenty of fruit and charm, it'll have you double checking the label (we promise - there is no alcohol in here!)
Origin: It was in the USA - in 1869! Mainly Grown In: Every wine-drinking country in the world! Key Facts: Non-alcoholic wines have become very popular, possibly due to a reaction against over-imbibing or simply a wish to live a healthier lifestyle! These wines are de-alcoholised, meaning they’re initially made into wine and then put through a process that removes the alcohol - or most of it. This is why you’ll see a tiny amount of alcohol listed on the label, usually around 0.5%, which is legally ‘non-alcoholic’. Tread Softly is a contemporary wine label that uses sustainable vineyard management and winemaking techniques to ensure its production has minimal environmental impact. Tread Softly is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and to planting an Australian native tree for every six bottles sold. Fun Fact: Did you know they make the wine first and THEN take the alcohol out?! One of the ways this is done is by something called ‘Reverse Osmosis’. This is not an Ancient Egyptian ship! It's actually a clever process that filters out aroma compounds and other bits before the alcohol is removed by distillation. Afterwards, the remaining liquid is added back into the filtered-out wine concentrate. Et Voilá!

Pairing guide
When the sun’s shining and there’s good food on the table, a Pinot Grigio is never far away. We absolutely love Tread Softly, even with the alcohol removed, it will have you buzzing for a pairing with plenty of dishes. It’s especially good with pasta and pesto, rice with veggies, deep fried eggplant and zucchini, and summery salads. However, it’s also a winner with fresh and battered seafood, fresh tomato sauces, fried potatoes, and creamy cheeses. Yum!
