Details
Golden apples and nectarine on the nose make for a playful welcome to this tasty fizz. Made from 100% organic Glera grapes (which is the same grape used in Prosecco) there’s some real charm and purity to this Italian beauty. It carries a cheerful, fruity palate with plenty of freshness; white peach, lemon, golden apples and delicate florals. There’s a lot of "yum" here with a reviving sparkle. Think refreshing meadow breeze on warm summers day — a picnic in the park kind of wine for certain.
Origin: The original sparkling wines were made in a place called Limoux in southern France. Mainly Grown In: These days, the whole world sparkles - these styles are made anywhere and everywhere, from a range of grape varieties. Key Facts: Champagne gets all the attention, but there's so much more to the world of sparkling than that. In fact, there are 4 main methods of production for sparkling wine, each producing slightly different styles and flavours. What is common across all of them however is really focussed, tangy acidity (due mostly to harvesting the grapes early - the acidity is needed to keep the sparkling wine fresh) and an elegant fruit profile. Main flavours often include various citrus fruits, crunchy green apple and hints of honey or biscuit. At the end of the day though, it's about those bubbles and the refreshment factor! Fun Fact: Traditionally sparkling wine is served in flutes. But if you ask a sommelier, most will tell you like they like to drink sparkling wine out of a regular glass because it releases more of the aromatics. Pairing guide
Who can resist the delicious flavours of a fruity and floral Italian fizz? When it comes to lively summer weather wines, this one’s right up there with the best of them, and it’s about as food-friendly as it’s possible to get. You’ll want to be passing this bottle around with all those lovely nibbles and finger-foods that come out at picnics, and it’s going to work a treat with anything from smoked salmon on blinis to classic prawn cocktail and any other savoury vol-au-vents you fancy serving up. It’s also going to go great with chips ‘n’ dips, and especially with any deep-fried foods. In fact, this bubbly is so versatile, it’s also going to go well with spicy seafood and sashimi, too, so don’t hesitate to serve it alongside any dish you're stumped on, it'll likely be a winner!
