Details
The 'Skinsy' is a Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc blend, sourced from the cold region of Mount Gambier. The wine opens with lemon verbena and grapefruit aromas before unfolding into joyfully textural components. With a creamy texture on the palate with candied ginger, preserved lemon and grapefruit with just a hint of grip to finish.
Taschini Wines (tas·chi·ni) is the work of Matilda Innes, which expresses a range of bright and modern wines that are a far cry from the wines that usually come out of the Coonawarra, where she plies her craft. Matilda is the daughter of John and Melissa Innes, of Ottelia Wines, who have long been a favourite of Good Pair Days. Ottelia are far from stuffy Coonawarra reds, with a flair for showcasing the full depth of the Limestone Coast, and you can see the influence of this philosophy in Matilda’s wines. The Taschini range is a small, intimate selection of wines, all made with attention to detail and purpose: a white wine sourced from Mount Gambier, a perfect chilled red, and, lastly, a modern take on the Coonawarra Cabernet. The wines are fun and designed to be shared with friends and family over delicious food, which helps that Matilda’s husband is the chef at the Ottelia restaurant. Enjoy them while they last!

Pairing guide
Textural and expressive, Skinsy leans into stone fruit, citrus peel, and gentle savoury notes from skin contact. Its grip and freshness make it a great match for dishes with a bit of richness or spice, think roast chicken with herbs, grilled pork, or pumpkin and sage risotto. It also works beautifully with Middle Eastern flavours like spiced lamb kofta, hummus, or roasted cauliflower with tahini. For cheese, try washed-rind or nutty alpine styles to echo the wine’s savoury edge.
