South by South West is the story of Mij & Liv, both sharing a passion for wine and desire for adventure that kicked off with an ultimate wine trip across some of the most sought after wine regions across the globe. In 2016 they turned the pipedream into reality by starting the winery. With a vision for producing a nice balance of fun, contemporary winemaking with classic, traditional techniques. The result is a combination of classic wines like Margaret River Chardonnay balanced with bright and creative Swan Valley Grenache and Pemberton blends. The creative aspect and vision of South by SouthWest Wines is quite literally sourcing wines from across the mass of regions located below Perth in Western Australia. This gives the winery flexibility to produce the wines they want to produce and gives you the broader opportunity to venture into the amazing world of Western Australian wine regions.

Pairing guide
We all love a good bottle of Pinot Grigio, and this deliciously refreshing release from South by South West fits that description perfectly. As for food pairing, a white like this one is always going to work well with lighter chicken and turkey dishes, marinated seafood and creamy prawn creations, as well as Mediterranean-style fish dishes, simple pasta recipes and crisp green salads. Pesto, milder cheeses and spicy southeast Asian fare is also very welcome indeed.

Wine region

Pemberton, Australia
Pemberton, WA is a region of great beauty. Vivid green forests, wetlands, rivers, waterfalls, and towering karri trees, you name it! While nature is tough to follow, the rolling vineyards, 200km south of Perth, is a close second!
The Pemberton wine region is cooler than Margaret River, making it possible to produce excellent quality Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc as well as fresher styles of Chardonnay. Pinot Noir has shown great promise too! The region is relatively small and young (established in 1977) with a handful of wineries, but it has wasted no time building a respectable reputation at wine shows and restaurants. Some of the most well-known wineries in the Pemberton region include Picardy, Pemberton Wines, and Wills Domain.
