Details
A pulsating wine, befitting it's monstrous name! Full of honeyed floral notes, zesty acidity and plenty of candied citrus. Only subtly sweet, with harmonious honey notes mixed with the refreshing acidity. Some apricot and melon as well, all combining for a moreish glass of Riesling.

In 2006, Some Young Punks was created by three lifelong friends Col, Jen (both from Adelina Wines) and Nic. What was their reason for creating this new age winery?... in their words “we blame the booze.” These punks have managed to transfuse their wicked senses of humour into a number of funky labels including Naked on Roller Skates, Monster’s Attack and Quickie. But don't mistake the humour for superficial wine production, these guys are the real deal. The label is a small scale production that is traditional in its approach with a no fuss attitude including hand-picking in small lots, fruit sourced from all over South Australia, basket pressing, indigenous yeast fermentations and no filtration.

Pairing guide
Some Young Punks have proven their worth once again with this stunning Riesling, which really captures the beautiful balance and crisp acidity that this grape varietal does so well. It’s going to be a delightful wine to drink alongside simple crisp, green salads, pork fillet dishes, and Germanic favourites like Wiener schnitzel, weisswurst, and pickles. However, we reckon a Riesling like this one is also a fantastic match for fiery Thai and Vietnamese cuisine - give it a try with a classic Pad Thai, a chilli tofu broth, or with Singapore spicy noodles.
