Details
The Pocketwatch Pinot is juicy and plump with ripe and baked cherry, raspberry and plum flavours backed up with plenty of spice and vanilla. It's less of the light and floral kind of Pinot Noir, and leans more toward the darker baked fruit and cosy baking spices. It has a medium body with velvety tannins and plenty of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of chocolate through the finish. Really tasty stuff.

Origin: Burgundy, eastern France. Mainly Grown In: France, Germany, USA, NZ, Italy, Australia, Chile. Key Facts: As a wine drinker, Pinot Noir is one smooth-talking charmer; silken texture, soft tannins, juicy acidity and as light in colour as it is on its feet. It does have a reputation however as a challenging grape to grow - it's very picky about where it is planted and can be tricky to get right. But the toil of growing it is always worth it in the end! Nothing quite compares to the splendour of Pinot Noir — packed with flavours of strawberry, warm baking spices and elegant earthiness... more is never enough. Fun Fact: In the USA, Pinot Noir has a cult following in Oregon, particularly in the region of the Willamette Valley.

Pairing guide
We can’t get enough of this gorgeously juicy and gluggable Pinot Noir from Pocketwatch. With its ripe fruit flavours and silky body, it’s the perfect pairing for so many fantastic dishes. However, like most Pinot Noirs, it’s most at home with beef stews, duck breast or leg, or lamb dishes served in rich, thick, and glossy sauces. Vegetarians will find great results pairing this wine with fresh green peas, deeply savoury tomato sauces, and bitter vegetables like broccoli and Brussels sprouts.
