Details
This wine's all about precision and pizazz. Grown in the cool Mt Barker region of WA, it shows off the region’s signature style: crisp, citrus-charged, and impossibly elegant. Expect zesty notes of lime blossom, green apple, and grapefruit zest, backed by a steely line of minerality and just a whisper of residual sugar to soften the edges. There’s a shimmering acidity here that keeps things mouthwatering from first sip to last — refreshing, racy, and oh-so refined.
Risky Business is a collaboration between grape grower and viticulturist Rob Quenby and vintner John Waldron. Both with significant experience in the wine scene, they came together in 2013 to produce small batches of fine and distinctive wines from varied areas across Australia. The Western Australian grapes come from Rob’s vineyards, managed by his own viticultural company, whilst they also look to Victoria's King Valley for some fruit. They're not looking to reinvent the wheel, rather to source great fruit from established vineyards and fashion stylish and traditional wines that have a modern edge. They seek fullness of flavour and depth, with a mixture of varieties at play. This is something they're committed to attaining, and the resultant wines certainly show better for it. Whether it be their classic re-interpretation of the Aussie Cabernet Shiraz blend, or their juicy and vital Riesling, their selection of wines is a lovely introduction into the modern Australian wine scene.

Pairing guide
This Riesling is a total all-rounder at the table, especially with dishes that bring a little spice or a hint of sweetness. Try it with Vietnamese prawn rice paper rolls, Thai green curry, or spicy Sichuan-style tofu. It’s also brilliant with fresh oysters, sashimi, or a zesty goat’s cheese salad. Basically, if it’s fresh, spicy, or citrusy — this wine is in its happy place.
