Details
Delicately aromatic, light in colour and character, the nose has lots of cherries and a fleeting stonefruit note, white pepper, cinnamon, and loads of juicy red berries. Unexpectedly fine-boned and pretty. This lovely wine may be light in feel but it's deep in tart red fruit flavour. Slinky, silky fine-grained chalky tannins, this lacy Grenache is long lasting and truly scrumptious, with a bright natural acid finish. Gimme more.

Wine is the medium in which Sierra Reed speaks her own voice and hears it echo back. A very emotive yet outspoken winemaker, Sierra's glitterati filled teen years were spent as a high-flying international model turned reality TV star, as a contestant on 'Survivor' (American season 18 for those buffs out there) who found her way to wine through hosting a food and wine TV show in New Zealand. She threw in the spotlight to make wine with top producers in California, Italy and France and now heads her very own 'urban winery' on the picturesque surf coast of Victoria - the Great Ocean Road in Torquay. This cellar is where Sierra feels her most beautiful and strong self... when she is making wine, and her young daughter (named Reed) is helping. Reed wines are all about transforming and capturing a moment in time through wine. Wearing a messy top knot, wine stained overalls, and purple stained hands, you'll find Sierra with 'Beyoncé' blaring and likely sharing crazy Hollywood stories with her new restaurateur and sommelier friends. She is a vibrant, young and unique addition to the local wine scene, and her vinous style is all about elegance... making lithe, silky and contemplative yet playful single vineyard wines, in tiny volumes. The 'Alexia' Grenache may be from the Barossa Valley, but prepare for the unexpected. This is a wine fit for a Pinot Noir lover. Unexpectedly fine-boned and pretty, this Grenache is the light-weight coat you'd wear on a summer's night purely for aesthetics, not for warmth. From some of the oldest vines in the world, this wine offers pure concentrated red fruit from the sandy soils it's grown on.

Pairing guide
Grenache is one of those red wine varietals which is just made for serving alongside hearty dinners shared with friends. It lends itself so well to comforting foods like meat pies, mac ‘n’ cheese, and roast chicken or turkey dinners. However, it’s also brilliantly versatile, presenting delicious flavour matches with less spicy Indian curries, Moroccan tagines, and anything featuring a punchy paprika kick, such as goulash or a Spanish pork stew.
