This Clare Valley Tempranillo is brimming with dark fruit and plenty of oaky spice. With typical purple colour, cherry cola and blackberry notes highlighted by chewy tannin, this is a sure winner.

Tim Adams has been one of the key wineries in the Clare Valley over the last 50 years, with a focus on classics like Riesling and a growing love of alternative varieties like Sangiovese and Fiano.

The terroir of Clare Valley has proven, time after time, to be fantastic for growing boisterous and fully-flavoured Tempranillo grapes, and this bottle from Impressionist really does the Spanish classic varietal justice in the glass. We love pairing this wine with rich meaty dishes featuring plenty of paprika and pimento, and anything which combines beef, lamb, and chilli is going to be beautiful on the palate! It’s a wine which also works very nicely with lentils and beans, so there’s plenty of veggie and vegan options awaiting - just keep things simple, rustic, deeply savoury and packed with spice, and you’re onto a winner!
