Details
A zesty, vibrant example of the juicy sweet fruit of Sauvignon Blanc. Here we have exuberant flavours of passionfruit, sweet pea, lemon and lychee, all wrapped up with tangy acidity and a lovely, supple texture. Very easy to drink, and well balanced between fruit and freshness.

Origin: Likely France, but unconfirmed. Possibly a wild grape variety that was indigenous to multiple areas in slightly different forms. Mainly Grown In: France, New Zealand, Italy, Chile, USA, South Africa and Australia Key Facts: If you’re a fan of a lime twist in your drinks, the smell of fresh-cut grass in the morning, and have been told you are intense or that "you sure stand out in a crowd", well, you’ve met your match. Sauvignon Blanc is an all-dials-at-max kind of grape, which means it's going to fist pump your senses with its intense (and sometimes pungent) aromas, mouth-watering freshness and a cleansing herbaceous character. As one of the most planted white grapes in the world, it’s no wonder it has claimed hearts in various styles; It can be lean and zesty when it’s from cooler climates and fuller and more tropical when grown in warmer ones. Fun Fact: That freshly cut grass flavour that's found in Sauvignon Blancs? It's all thanks to 'methoxypyrazines'. Drop that one the next time you're describing the flavours and everyone will think you're a fancy scientist.

Pairing guide
When it comes to food-friendly white wines offering incredible versatility, nothing really compares with a bright bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. This stunning number from Quarisa is the ideal pairing for green vegetable dishes - snow peas, asparagus, green beans and peas particularly - citrus-spritzed white fish dishes, shellfish like clams and oysters, and vegetarian risotto. Simple pasta recipes, crisp salads and herb-and-lemon stuffed chicken will also work a treat.

Wine region
Adelaide Hills, Australia
The Adelaide Hills wine region, located in South Australia's Mount Lofty Ranges of South Australia is characterised by its high altitude, cool climate, and diverse soils, which all contribute to the unique terroir that produces elegant, complex, and expressive wines. The region's altitude ranges from 400 to 700 meters above sea level, creating a cooler climate than other wine regions in South Australia. The cool temperatures slow down the ripening process of the grapes, resulting in wines with high acidity, delicate aromatics, and elegant flavours. Top sub-regions are Lenswood, Piccadilly Valley, and Basket Range, each with unique microclimates and diverse soil types that produce singular wine styles, the highlights are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and a whole lot more!
