Details
Made from Plavina, a native grape with a Pinot-Noir-meets-Gamay vibe, this red is light, fresh, and fruit-forward. Expect notes of ripe red cherry, cranberry, and a dash of dried thyme, with soft tannins and a breezy, coastal minerality. It's vibrant, a bit savoury, and dangerously smashable.
Pomalo is more than just a wine project — it’s a vibe, a mantra, and a lifestyle distilled into a bottle. The word 'pomalo' in Croatian means “take it easy,” “slow down,” or “no rush” — and that perfectly sums up both the winemaking philosophy and the coastal energy behind these beautifully laid-back bottles. Created as a collaboration between Andrej Čiblak, a pioneer of Croatia’s natural wine movement, and the innovative folks at Vinas Mora, Pomalo celebrates the untamed beauty of the Dalmatian Coast. Vines are grown close to the sea, often on rugged, rocky plots surrounded by olive trees, wild herbs, and wind-swept cliffs. Farming is low-intervention and organic, and winemaking is just as hands-off — wild ferments, low sulphur, no filtering. The results are fresh, salty, and full of character — just like the coast itself. Pomalo wines are made to be shared, chilled, and enjoyed without pretense. It’s coastal Croatia in a glass: pure, honest, and joyfully relaxed.

Pairing guide
This is your go-to for grilled octopus, roast red pepper dishes, or a big bowl of spaghetti with anchovy and breadcrumbs. Or keep it casual with cheese toasties, margherita pizza, or BBQ veggie skewers. Serve it lightly chilled, preferably with your feet up and zero plans for the rest of the afternoon.
