Details
Sauvignon Blanc can go in a lot of different directions and the Plan B! Sauvy B is a straight shot to flavour town! With plenty of green apple, pear and kiwi notes, and underlying mineral and herbal tones, this is a classic expression of WA Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of character.

Wineries like Plan B! really say a lot about the Australian wine scene in the 21st century. On the one hand, there’s a dedication to excellence and flavour, and a will to constantly push the bar higher and higher when it comes to quality. On the other, there’s a sort of rock ‘n’ roll sensibility at work, of following your instincts and subverting expectations… all of which results in some seriously great wine, packing plenty of surprises and eyebrow-raising features. Set up in 2006 by wine and music obsessive Bill Crappsley, Plan B! was always intended to be a ‘free range’ winery; free not only from too much messing about and chemical intervention but also free from what he describes as ‘corporate taint’. The guys at Plan B! like to keep an open mind when it comes to grape varietals and wine styles - they’ve made some seriously fascinating vintages over the years, and have produced wines made from classic French grapes such as Chardonnay, Italian classics like Sangiovese, and Spanish big-hitters like Tempranillo. All round deliciousness!

Pairing guide
We just can’t get enough of this bright and crisp Sauvignon Blanc from Plan B!, which offers mountains of freshness alongside a fantastic versatility when it comes to food pairing. Seafood and simple fish dishes are the most obvious matches for this white wine, but it’s also going to be excellent with chicken and turkey salads, green vegetable recipes and anything featuring a spritz of lemon or lime and plenty of green herbs. Spicy Thai broths, crispy tofu with chilli and coriander and Asian fish cakes will also go down a treat.
