Details
This is textbook Merlot from the team at Peos with bursting red fruit, vanillin spice and raspberry jam. This is your comfort wine in spades that will reach out of the glass and give you a big cuddle. With warming tannin and bright fruit, this is the perfect sweet spot when you crack open the dark chocolate.

Peos Estate is located in the picturesque region of Manjimup in the southwest corner of Western Australia. For those who haven’t heard of this region, you can be forgiven, however once you decide to google some images, we’ll wait here while you book your flights. Manjimup is known for its amazing trees where there is a thriving timber industry and although the wine industry is small here, it certainly is worth jumping into. Peos Estate is owned by the family of the same name where brothers Vic, John, Kon and Chris took over from their late father, Jim in 1996 to drive the winery forward for generations to come. A family with a proud Macedonian heritage, the family don’t just grow grapes on their estate, they also farm everything from dairy cattle to the odd array of vegetables. The wines all carry a theme centred around a pack of cards and from the Four Aces range at the top to the Four Jacks, hopefully you’ll have no need to fold your hand.

Pairing guide
Plush, elegant and packed full of comforting hedgerow flavours… there’s something inherently festive about a good bottle of Merlot we just can’t get enough of! This bottle is going to be excellent with your favourite Christmas ham dishes, and will also work brilliantly with pulled pork, roast turkey, duck or goose, and all kinds of dishes that make a star ingredient of roast vegetables and a rich, fruity gravy. Garlicky greens, potato dauphinoise, slow-cooked beef or lamb stews and braised kale would also work a treat.
