Details
This gently savoury Pinot Noir comes from three vineyards from across the Yarra Valley - the collation of the terroirs and flavours of the Yarra Valley. This is modern Australian Pinot Noir that balances the fruit and undergrowth flavours wonderfully. Red berries, rose petals and cinnamon. Lovely.
Kate Goodman is a quiet icon of the Victorian wine scene, and has worked for some of the biggest names across the country, including leading lights such as Dalwhinnie, Seppelts and Wirra Wirra. She moved to the Yarra in 2000 and established her eponymous label in 2012 and has continued to blaze her own trail and produce quietly unassuming and yet brilliantly elegant wines year after year. Using delicious fruit from a number of well-established, high-performing vineyards around the Yarra Valley, Goodman crafts and constructs a range of wines that are evocative and delicious. Using no-one but her own tastes as guide, this range sways from Yarra classics to Italian natives and back again. To complement Goodman Wines, she also produces the Nikkal Wine range. Nikkal is the Phoenician goddess of fruits and harvest, thus these wines are a celebration of the fruitful generosity of Yarra Valley vineyards!

Pairing guide
If you’re on the lookout for a great red wine to pair with vegetarian and vegan food, then look no further - Pinot Noir has the versatility, the elegance, and the overall character to provide no shortage of delicious options. Beetroot is the obvious choice here, and prepared in any fashion will make for an excellent match. Eggplant, fennel, smoky tofu dishes, grilled seitan steaks, lentil burgers, and mushrooms are all going to hit the spot perfectly, and you’ll get great results from soft French cheeses like Brie and Camembert, too.
