Details
Clean and herbal and fresh - everything you want and need in a body wash... or a Sauvignon Blanc, as it turns out! Dad jokes aside, this is straight up and dependable. Fresh lime and white peach, some green apple, and then more complex flavours of crystallised ginger & lemongrass. Yum.
Origin: Likely France, but unconfirmed. Possibly a wild grape variety that was indigenous to multiple areas in slightly different forms. Mainly Grown In: France, New Zealand, Italy, Chile, USA, Sth Africa, Australia (best-known AU regions are Adelaide Hills and Yarra Valley). Key Facts: If you’re a fan of a lime twist in your drinks, the smell of fresh cut grass in the morning, and have been told you are intense or that "you sure stand out in a crowd", well, you’ve met your match. Sauvignon Blanc is an all-dials-at-max kind of grape, which means it's going to fist pump your senses with its intense (and sometimes pungent) aromas, mouth-watering freshness and a cleansing herbaceous character. As one of the most planted white grapes in the world, it’s no wonder it has claimed hearts in various styles; It can be lean and zesty when it’s from cooler climates and fuller and more tropical when grown in warmer ones. Fun Fact: Centuries ago, a romantic vine affair occurred between Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc. The two crossed — as vines like to do when they really love another vine — and made Cabernet Sauvignon.

Pairing guide
A great Sauvignon Blanc is a truly beautiful thing, and this bottle from Nericon really hits the right spots for us. As for food pairing, this elegant and versatile wine is going to match up very nicely with all kinds of simple fish and shellfish dishes, and will love being paired with herbal and briney sauces. Goat's cheese, fresh cheeses like ricotta, and parsley and mozzarella combos will also work very nicely indeed. It’s also going to be great with spring green vegetables, and chicken and turkey dishes, too.

Wine region

Riverina, Australia
The Riverina wine region is one of the three that is the backbone of the Australian wine industry, alongside the Riverland and Murray Darling. The region has a hot and dry climate with long summers and cool winters, making it ideal for growing grapes. The home of Riverina is Griffith where there is a wide range of wines produced from classic Shiraz and Chardonnay to one of the most recognised wines in Australia, the De Bortoli Noble One.
