Details
Ben Mullen has produced a textbook rosé with plenty of character and charm. This is an 80/20 split of Syrah and Pinot Noir sourced from his Moorabool Valley vineyard in Geelong. The wine has an abundance of texture from some ageing in barrels offset by strawberries and cream with some underplay of raspberry and spice.
Mulline is the joint venture of Ben Mullen, professional winemaker and Ben Hine, professional wine drinker. B1 or Ben Mulline was born and bred in the Barossa Valley and cut his teeth into working at amazing wineries in the Barossa and Yarra Valleys as well as France and New Zealand. After working at Clyde Park in Geelong, Ben decided to make his own wines, also from Geelong, with his first wines released in 2019. B2 or Ben Hine is also a South Australian and spent his formative years working at Adelaide institution, Chianti. He moved to Melbourne and became a lawyer and also runs the business side of things at Mulline...tough life! The wines have colourful, artistic labels and focus on premium Geelong fruit featuring single vineyard Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah as well as crisp Riesling and textural Sauvignon Blanc. There is a lot of love and passion behind these wines and the way they are made which is something we can all get behind.

Pairing guide
This stunning pink wine from Mulline is an absolute joy to the senses, matching freshness and vitality with a beautiful array of summer fruit flavours. We reckon it’s a top match with a seared tuna steak - served nice and pink in the middle - with olives, tomatoes and other Mediterranean treats, but it will also be excellent with poached salmon with potatoes, tomato-based pasta sauces, medium spiced curries, Indian street food snacks and Moroccan or Israeli salad dishes. Delicious!
