Details
Pinot Gris has long found its Australian home in Mornington Peninsula and across the way Mulline have produced a fine example to rival their neighbours. This is your textural, waxy Pinot Gris with some coastal salinity that will have you thinking about waxing the surfboard and squeezing into your wetty. With apple and pear fruit tones to balance the salty, waxy grip, the Mulline PG will be ideal when you jump out the water.

Mulline is the joint venture of Ben Mullen, professional winemaker and Ben Hine, professional wine drinker. B1 or Ben Mulline was born and bred in the Barossa Valley and cut his teeth into working at amazing wineries in the Barossa and Yarra Valleys as well as France and New Zealand. After working at Clyde Park in Geelong, Ben decided to make his own wines, also from Geelong, with his first wines released in 2019. B2 or Ben Hine is also a South Australian and spent his formative years working at Adelaide institution, Chianti. He moved to Melbourne and became a lawyer and also runs the business side of things at Mulline...tough life! The wines have colourful, artistic labels and focus on premium Geelong fruit featuring single vineyard Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah as well as crisp Riesling and textural Sauvignon Blanc. There is a lot of love and passion behind these wines and the way they are made which is something we can all get behind.

Pairing guide
Few white wines are as satisfying or as food-friendly as a good Pinot Gris, and this beautiful bottle from Mulline is everything we want from this wine style and more. It’s a great bottle to pair with creamy chicken and pork dishes - everything from a carbonara to a chicken stroganoff will hit the spot - and it will also pair very nicely with barramundi and other heartier fish dishes, too. Creamy polenta, prawn skewers, fish or chicken risotto and salmon with dill sauce would also work brilliantly, as will marinated tofu and Thai green curries.
