Details
A wonderfully alive bottle of wine, full fo character and juicy fruit, balanced by zesty acidity and rocky sensations. Vibrant lemon aromatics with tangerine acidity are on display, backed up by more subtle notes of hay, crushed almond and honey. It's a perfect white for an aperitif or drinking with full flavoured foods.

Young gun winemaker and biodynamic enthusiast Marco “Barba” is the heart (and the face, if you check the labels closely) of the Marcobarba project. Despite beginning his professional life as a carpenter, he soon discovered a deep interest for biodynamic agriculture and Rudolf Steiner’s philosophies. He moved to the Jura canton of Switzerland, to work as a shepherd and agricultural farmer to expand his knowledge here, before returning to Veneto in 2015, to work at the winery of a family friend and begin his life of winemaking. Safe to say, things have gone fairly well! In the following years, with the help of a few friends, Marco improved all aspects of his wine production, and since 2018, driven by their passion for biodynamic agriculture and their respect for nature, Marco and his close knit team of “Barbaboyz” have launched the adventure of the Marcobarba brand. Their goal is to produce pure grapes and thus straightforward, genuine wines. Imperfect but utterly delicious. Real wines.

Pairing guide
Yum - this Garganega really showcases the finer features of one of Italy’s most iconic varietals, offering truly pretty fruit and floral notes that make it ideal for matching with elegant homemade dishes and family favourites. It’s especially good with shellfish and seafood - this wine is going to taste amazing with lobster, crab, and mussels - and delicious with grilled chicken or fish. Getting creative with herbs and herbal sauces is never a bad idea, but you’ll get just as great results pairing this wine with a simple green salad or a fresh pasta creation, too.
