Details
Vibrancy is the name of the game here, with a sparkling wine that is driven by fresh aromas of pear and citrus with a smooth, creamy finish. There's an effortless balance here between vital appley liveliness and a crisp finish.
What an absolute delight it is to introduce M + B Wines, the new label for Marcelle Freeman, who has banded with a group of wine friends (including a famous mystery winemaker) to deliver a range of distinctive and delicious drinks that we're mighty proud to now have at Good Pair Days. Marcelle runs the Freeman Vineyards property with her legendary winemaker father Brian (who headed up the Charles Sturt University wine department for a decade) in the NSW Hilltops near Young. The large mosaic of vineyards that the Freeman family controls includes some of the most important plantings of alternative grape varieties in Australia, including the country's only plantings of two legendary Italian varieties, Rondinella and Corvina. Oh yes, the Freemans are a big deal in the grape world, and this new project label from Marcelle delivers all the charisma and energy that we'd expect!

Pairing guide
It's not hard to enjoy this Hilltops Prosecco, with the citrus and pear generosity driving the whole shebang. This crisp but easy style is an excellent wine to drink with risotto and creamy pasta, especially seafood, fish or a lively vegetarian risotto. We also love drinking this with salads, especially dishes that introduce some citrus or tart fruit contrasts. Honestly, you could drink this with anything - it's a super crowd pleaser.
