Details
Modelled on the beautifully fresh and crunchy Pinot Grigio wines you'd find in a Venetian canalside restaurant, this Pinot Grigio is light-bodied and driven by this lovely nashi pear fragrance and white fruit beauty. Ultra-refreshing, it's a really frisky white wine that couldn't be any more sunny if it tried.
What an absolute delight it is to introduce M + B Wines, the new label for Marcelle Freeman, who has banded with a group of wine friends (including a famous mystery winemaker) to deliver a range of distinctive and delicious drinks that we're mighty proud to now have at Good Pair Days. Marcelle runs the Freeman Vineyards property with her legendary winemaker father Brian (who headed up the Charles Sturt University wine department for a decade) in the NSW Hilltops near Young. The large mosaic of vineyards that the Freeman family controls includes some of the most important plantings of alternative grape varieties in Australia, including the country's only plantings of two legendary Italian varieties, Rondinella and Corvina. Oh yes, the Freemans are a big deal in the grape world, and this new project label from Marcelle delivers all the charisma and energy that we'd expect!

Pairing guide
Pinot Grigio is one of those white wine styles that’s just made for lazy afternoons spent in the company of good friends and fine food, and this bottle from the new M & B Wines project is no exception. We really enjoyed pairing this wine with grilled white fish, roast chicken, and creamy pork pasta dishes, and it’s also going to be great with simple risottos, homemade pâté, and cream cheeses. Fish ‘n’ chips will work well with this wine, but you’ll get equally good results with Indian and Thai curries, and anything with a punch of horseradish or wasabi.
