Great Southern Riesling is some of the most underrated going around and the Providence Road is pure gold. There is a great swathe of pithy lime, grapefruit and minerality that seamlessly provide the perfect drinking experience. Get in quick before these wines lose their underrated tag.

For those who live in WA, you’ll know that Great Southern is deceptively big, whether it be a weekend getaway to Esperance or staycay in Denmark, it is a committed 4 hour stint in the car. The commitment is worthwhile with a mix of oceanic scenery, hiking trails up Bluff Knoll or truly roughing it by indulging in some of Australia’s finest Riesling, Shiraz and let’s be honest just any wine that comes from this stunning region. Lange Estate is part of the many family run properties in the broad, expansive wine region that is Great Southern, Western Australia. Located in the sub-region of Frankland River, it is here that the Lange family have settled their roots since 1997 and embarked upon a mission to produce some pack leading wine. Their labels are divided into three categories; 5th Generation, Providence Road and Travelling Stock Route with a focus on Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet.

Pairing guide
Who could possibly resist the bright, crisp and oh-so refreshing character of this beautiful Riesling? It’s a wonderfully versatile white wine, pairing spectacularly well with Thai and Indian curries, Vietnamese summer rolls, satay sauces, Japanese katsu, sushi and sashimi, white fish fillets, green salads, breaded pork or turkey cutlets and much, much more! Combinations of chilli, lime, ginger and coconut will always work excellently with this wine, and it’s also great with picnic favourites like potato salad and quiche, too.
