Details
A plush Pinot from a cool climate, this puts paid to the rumour that all Loire wines are acid bombs! Sure, this has plenty of freshness, but the depth of fruit is impressive, and adds a wonderful creamy texture to this wine, despite it's delicacy. Dark cherry and violet mix wonderfully along a soft finish.

France’s Loire Valley is, quite rightly, regarded as among the finest wine regions on Earth. Here, low-yielding vines grow in exceptionally complex soils, resulting in wines that capture a totally unique sense of time and place, and which have long since ignited the imagination of the wider world. Château de la Noblesse, which sits in the heart of the valley, covers fourteen hectares of prime Loire estate. Since the early 20th century, it has built up a powerful reputation for excellence which has, in recent years, led to some serious international clout. Currently spearheaded by the brilliantly eccentric (yet remarkably focused and undeniably brilliant) Bernard and his daughter Florence, La Noblesse winery continues to grow from strength to strength. Consistently achieving excellence with their local Loire varieties (Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc), alongside lesser known wonders like Gamay and Cabernet Franc, the newly-renovated winery produces timeless Loire wines with a decidedly forward-thinking flourish. If you’re looking to begin exploring the classic wines of this peerless region, we can think of no better place to start.

Pairing guide
Ah, Pinot Noir. Where would we be without you when it comes to food pairing perfection at mealtimes? This stunning red from La Noblesse is an absolute dream alongside fatty fish dishes of tuna and salmon, pan-roasted duck, a classic cassoulet, or a sausage hotpot. It’s about as versatile as they come, however, and will also pair nicely with tomato-based pasta dishes, herbed cheeses, butterflied lamb, turkey curries, and much, much more besides!
