Details
Named after patriarch Giorgios ‘Belitso’ Kakridas, the Belisto wines are approachable, affable yet also serious releases that go beyond just artsy labels. This dry, savoury and strawberried rosé is made from a blend of Merlot, Semillon & Malvasia, with this unique blend of red and white grapes making for a wine that feels fuller, yet is still bone dry and refreshing. Hello rosé charisma!
The Victorian High Country is such a fascinating region, with all sorts of hidden vineyard delights to be found - just like the Krystallo Vineyard, on the edge of Lake Nillahcootie. Here, the Kakridas family farm a plot that dates back to the late 1980s and features an array of unusual varieties, including Malvasia & Kamari. But the wines are anything but oddities. The warm days and cool nights of this part of the world (the Mt Buller ski resort is just a few valleys over) makes it perfect for making ripe-but-crisp whites and light to medium bodied reds of real charisma.

Pairing guide
Made from deliciously ripened Merlot grapes grown on the Krystallo estate in Victoria, this pink wine packs a deeply satisfying punch of watermelon and red berry flavours. It’s going to taste fantastic with all kinds of light salads featuring grilled chicken or marinated tofu, salty cheeses like feta and halloumi, curried vegetables (especially zucchini and cauliflower), salmon and seared tuna, and tomato-based pasta sauces. Garlic and herb-crusted white meats, cured pork like prosciutto, and olive tapenade are also great options to explore.
