Details
The Knee Deep Sauvignon Blanc is like a smorgasbord of fruit with tropical fruit, honeydew and lemon with underlying peach flavours. This is your perfect tipple when the sun is shining and behind all the gorgeous fruit is some complex cashew and orange blossom depth. The wine finishes punchy with crisp acidity and plenty of life, delicious!
In the heart of the renowned Margaret River wine region, nestled amidst picturesque vineyards and rolling hills, lies Knee Deep Wines—an enchanting winery that not only captivates the senses but weaves a tale of passion, dedication, and the people who bring it to life. The winery is owned by Matt & Claire Holden, who were handed the reins by Phil & Sue Child when they decided to hang up their heavily wine stained boots several years ago. Matt Holden has been involved in the wine industry for over 20 years, working across both production and belting out the hard yards in hospitality. Now the Knee Deep winery has three main labels, Birdhouse, Third Rule and its namesake as well as a side-project called In Reverie. The winery has a great focus on producing all the classic varieties like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and we’re really happy to have their wines on board at Good Pair Days.

Pairing guide
As crisp and brisk as it is delicious, this Sauvignon Blanc from Knee Deep Estate is a real champion when it comes to food pairing, matching with a massive range of foods with absolute panache and style. We loved it with simple dishes of green vegetables with herbs and feta, but it’s equally good with grilled fish, seared seafood, turkey breast salads, Asian lemon chicken and all kinds of Thai and Malaysian curries. Singapore noodles, fish cakes and veggie sides will also be excellent, and you’ll get equally good results from classic salads ranging from a Waldorf to a Caesar and beyond.
