Details
Here we have a classically-styled Shiraz from vineyards in both the Barossa Valley and Langhorne Creek. It's serious, with plenty of dark fruit and some hefty weight, but has a vibrant edge, with some floral lift and then a zing of acidity to keep things fresh. Well balanced and satisfying.

Origin: The first recognised wines were made in the Rhone Valley and south-eastern France. Mainly Grown In: One of the world’s leading grapes, it is found in France, Australia, the USA, Argentina and South Africa. Key Facts: Shiraz is a world-beater. Starting small in the southern reaches of France, it has spread to all corners of the world, and is known for producing some of the world’s great red wines, capable of perfume, power and persistence. Local versions are luscious and fruity, loaded with plum, raisin and plenty of oaky richness. European expressions however can be more savoury and tend towards flavours of olive, black cherry and pepper. Both are equally delicious, and are simply a matter of taste! Fun Facts: Penfolds 'Bin 170 Kalimna' holds the title of 'world's most expensive shiraz' - with the per bottle pricing never going below 4 figures!

Pairing guide
Hello have done a fantastic job showcasing the quality and distinction of their Shiraz grapes, producing a truly enjoyable red wine that’s just perfect for sharing with friends when dining al fresco. As with most Shiraz, this bottle is going to very happily sit alongside char grilled and barbecued red meats - ribs, homemade burgers, steaks, and chops of all kinds - and it’s a winner with rustic bean burgers, lentil stews, eggplant, red capsicum, and mushroom dishes, too. Chili con carne (especially with a bit of dark chocolate in the mix) is a winner, and you’ll also get great results from a hearty cottage pie or similar pub lunch classic!

Wine region
South Australia, Australia
South Australia is a wide and varied state when it comes to wine production. From the coastal regions of Limestone Coast and McLaren Vale, to the warmer inland valleys of Barossa and Eden, to the flats of Langhorne Creek, there's a range of terroirs and temperatures across this wide brown land. As a result, wines labelled with only South Australia can display a range of flavours! The state is probably best known for Shiraz, Grenache and Cab Sav in reds, and Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white. Whatever your flavour, there's plenty to explore!
