Details
A soft, gentle Pinot Noir; comforting like a warm hug. It's fragrant and silky; light bodied with a mix of raspberry and ripe strawberry; with air the wine takes on some darker tones and ends up being very moreish. Great drinking, and hard to stop at just one glass.
Origin: Burgundy, eastern France. Mainly Grown In: France, Germany, USA, NZ, Italy, Australia, Chile. Key Facts: As a wine drinker, Pinot Noir is one smooth talking charmer; silken texture, soft tannins, juicy acidity and as light in colour as it is on its feet. It does have a reputation however as challenging grape to grow - it's very picky about where it is planted and can be tricky to get right. But the toil of growing it is always worth it in the end! Nothing quite compares to the splendour of Pinot Noir — packed with flavours of strawberry, warm baking spices and elegant earthiness... more is never enough. Fun Fact: Did you know that Pinot Noir is actually related to Chardonnay! And both of them are likely related to your sore head on a Sunday morning.

Pairing guide
We’ve often said that Pinot Noir is the undisputed king of the red wines when it comes to food pairing, and this elegant and silky bottle from Hello proves our point perfectly. Almost too gluggable, it will match up delightfully with a huge range of tasty and hearty meat dishes: shepherd’s pie, beef stew, lamb tagine, duck legs in gravy, game, turkey drumsticks, roast chicken… the list just goes on and on. Vegetarians will love this wine with beetroot and mushroom classics, and it’s also a great wine for pairing with rustic bean soups and stews, lentil dishes, and Mediterranean vegetable tarts.

Wine region

South Australia, Australia
South Australia is a wide and varied state when it comes to wine production. From the coastal regions of Limestone Coast and McLaren Vale, to the warmer inland valleys of Barossa and Eden, to the flats of Langhorne Creek, there's a range of terroirs and temperatures across this wide brown land. As a result, wines labelled with only South Australia can display a range of flavours! The state is probably best known for Shiraz, Grenache and Cab Sav in reds, and Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white. Whatever your flavour, there's plenty to explore!
