Details
The Flux label is more magic than machine, with label designs crafted using an algorithm that takes a ton of information about the vineyard and the wine to create a completely unique design. This rosé is made from early picked Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the cool Porongurup region, and it's a perfumed and strawberry-tinted pink wine of leafy fragrance and lovely crunch.
WA's Great Southern is a huge wine region - 100 km north to south, 150km east to west, with everything from dry flatlands to WA's highest peaks (over 1000m in altitude). Diversity plus. For James Kellie and the Harewood team, it's about highlighting those differences, with the estate counting four vineyards at the polar ends of this vast region, from the sandy beaches of Denmark in the SW to the granite hills of Porongurup in the east. Oh yeah, James does some driving. But it's worth it because the amazing Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz & Cabernet, particularly, that come out under the Harewood Estate label are seriously charismatic - powerful, detailed wines that taste like they come from somewhere. An extra special shout to the Riesling range, where everything gets bottled separately so you can tour Great Southern without leaving the dinner table. Amazing.

Pairing guide
With its fragrant and lightly herbaceous aromatics and the crunchy strawberry palate driving the wine, this Harewood rosé is very refreshing indeed. We especially enjoyed it with burgers and antipasto plates where spice is interwoven through the dish, with garlic and Middle Eastern spices especially welcome. We also think it will pair nicely with garlic potato dishes, savoury pastries and picnic pies, with olives and salty cheeses like feta and halloumi also providing memorable pairings to savour.

Wine region

Porongurup, Australia
Porongurup is a small, yet noteworthy wine sub-region located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. It is known for producing high-quality, cool-climate wines, particularly Riesling and Chardonnay. The region is characterised by its rolling hills and rocky soil, which provide excellent drainage for the vines. The cool climate, combined with long hours of sunshine, creates ideal growing conditions for the production of bright and crisp wines with good acidity and minerality. Porongurup is a relatively new wine region, but its wines have already gained recognition for their quality and character. If you're looking for a wine that's both refreshing and complex, a bottle from Porongurup is a great choice.
