Fresh Riesling Alert! Picked in February, bottled in May, this wine has just been released! Lip-smackingly fresh, it's a vibrant Clare Valley ripper, loaded with flavours of lemonade, lemongrass, fresh mandarin, orange juice and honeysuckle. Tangy acidity keeps it bobbing along - a wine for warmer weather.
Gullyview Estate in the Clare Valley is the exciting new venture from Jono Koerner, who has stepped out on his own after his successful collaboration with his brother Damon at Koerner Wines and LEKO. The Koerner family's winemaking legacy runs deep, with Jono and Damon's parents planting the original Gullyview Estate vineyard decades ago. Today, this same vineyard provides the exceptional fruit that goes into every bottle of Gullyview wines. With a nod to his heritage and an eye on innovation, Jono is crafting wines that reflect both the rich history and dynamic future of the Clare Valley. The wines are modern Clare Valley classics, utilising grape varieties that have always grown there, but picked slightly earlier and so showing off a vibrancy of fruit that perhaps the region hasn't always been known for. The wines are clean, juicy and digestible, and well worth your attention. Delicious stuff.

Pairing guide
There’s really no getting away from the fact that, when it comes to food-friendliness and pitch-perfect balance, there’s nothing quite like a good bottle of Riesling. This release from the beautiful Clare Valley vineyards of Gullyview Estate absolutely hits the high notes, and it’s stunning with the southeast Asian flavours of Thai curries, Vietnamese fish dishes, katsu sauce, yakitori chicken and Malaysian satay. Pork escalopes, chicken breasts with lemon and herb stuffing, soft cheeses and aromatic rice dishes will also be excellent, and it’s not half bad with a sushi feast or Peruvian ceviche, too.
