Details
A rich expression of Pinot Noir, with a mix of dark red and black fruits, and complex notes of ash, cedar and milk chocolate.
There's some spicy oak in there, but the texture stays true to Pinot Noir - silken and fine-boned.
Gapsted Wines is a unique project, born of the shared experience of seven wine industry families who came together and invested themselves in the region that they love. Although their skills, talents, and personalities are varied, they made the decision to build a winery based on the single idea of 'excellence'. It’s this idea that drives them to this day. The founding families were involved in the wine industry and all saw the potential of the region to produce stunning aromatic white wines and elegant, complex reds. From growing the fruit to selling the wines, the partners sought to control all elements and create high quality wines of distinction. The winery site was selected for its stunning alpine views and proximity to the region’s best cool climate fruit. 20 years later - what a result. The wines are now found all over the world, and they continue to set trends with the production of innovative blends and approachable, food-friendly wines. Pairing guide
Mmm - Pinot Noir! No matter how far or wide our red wine explorations take us, this is one varietal we’ll never stop coming back to, and especially when it comes to food pairing. Light, fresh, and incredibly expressive and versatile, it’s a food-and-wine lover’s dream bottle. We love this Pinot Noir with duck (we’d argue there are few better pairings in the world than this one), and it also goes gorgeously well with oriental beef dishes, wild mushrooms, zucchini, pork casseroles, and chicken in tomato sauces.
