Details
This is a classic sparkling red with plenty of ripe cherry and plum tones, and an abundance of spice and pepper which comes through from the Shiraz grape, even in sparkling form. The wine has had plenty of development in the bottle prior to release so there is no need to hang around, just pop the cork and enjoy the bubbly goodness.

John Frazer was enjoying a quiet tipple at the Busselton pub one Friday evening, back in 1985, when he heard of a property for sale in Wilyabrup. Located 40km southwest of his beer mat, and lying between the forest and the massive expanse of Indian Ocean, this piece of land piqued an interest in John...an interest that developed into a bit of an obsession! After buying the property later that year, he and his wife Jan set to work. They planted vines, built a winery and a house and raised a family. With a keen spirit of determination, enjoyment, experimentation and excellence, they are now, more than a quarter of a century later, producing Margaret River’s finest sparkling wines, crafted from local Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. They do very little to their wines, believing in the magic of hard work and time. The results are sublime, and the recent work to rebrand the packaging is paying dividends, with the wines beginning to receive the attention they deserve.

Pairing guide
A sparkling red wine is often the perfect addition to a picnic, barbecue, or sharing feast of tapas dishes, charcuterie and other tempting treats. This bottle, from the ever-wonderful Frazer Woods, is no exception - it’s the ideal choice for serving with charcuterie boards and a selection of cheeses, will work with pear and ham salads, cheese and ham tarts and with sticky Asian ribs, duck pancakes and Chinese barbecue. Sausages, caramelised onions and spiced rice dishes will also work brilliantly, as will hot smoked salmon and seared tuna. Yum!
