Frazer Wood has a reputation for producing standout sparkling wine from a perfect region. The wine is a delicious balance of toast and fruit that reminds you of iced vovo’s with that lovely hint of creamy biscuit goodness. In true Aussie style it finishes with a refreshing zip that will have your glass topped up in no time.
John Frazer was enjoying a quiet tipple at the Busselton pub one Friday evening, back in 1985, when he heard of a property for sale in Wilyabrup. Located 40km southwest of his beer mat, and lying between the forest and the massive expanse of Indian Ocean, this piece of land piqued an interest in John...an interest that developed into a bit of an obsession! After buying the property later that year, he and his wife Jan set to work. They planted vines, built a winery and a house and raised a family. With a keen spirit of determination, enjoyment, experimentation and excellence, they are now, more than a quarter of a century later, producing Margaret River’s finest sparkling wines, crafted from local Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. They do very little to their wines, believing in the magic of hard work and time. The results are sublime, and the recent work to rebrand the packaging is paying dividends, with the wines beginning to receive the attention they deserve.

Pairing guide
The team at Frazer Woods winery consistently impresses with their bright and characterful sparkling wines, and this beautiful bottle of fizz is truly no exception. It’s brilliantly food-friendly and versatile, and will be most happy paired with fried and breaded treats - think Korean fried chicken, tempura veggies and prawns, and panko-crumbed crab cakes - as well as with fresh and seared seafood like oysters, scallops and mussels. Green salads, smoked salmon starters and satay dishes with peanuts and coriander will work brilliantly, but honestly? You can pair this wine with pretty much anything… and it’s more than likely to hit it out of the park.
