Details
Sitting nicely in the sweet spot between energy and fruit flavours, this Chardonnay is medium-bodied with notes of peach, pineapple and vanilla. It shows fresh acidity to balance out the mid-palate richness, and will go well with many different dishes. A cracker!

Origin: Burgundy, in eastern France. Mainly Grown In: France, USA, Australia, Italy, Chile, South Africa, Argentina, Spain, NZ… all over, really! Key Facts: Chardonnay is one flexible, sassy grape. It grew up in a place called Burgundy in France, and has travelled to California, Australia, other parts of France, South America... all over the world basically. It can be zesty and fresh in cooler climates, and richer and creamier in warmer ones. It's also one of the few white varieties that performs just as well when treated with oak as it does without. This winemaking change can also affect the body and texture of the wine, leading to a totally different drinking experience. So remember, not all Chardonnays are alike, but we've picked only the best ones for you :) Fun Fact: Chardonnay is the second most planted white grape in the world! It has over 160,000 hectares planted across the globe.

Pairing guide
A good bottle of Chardonnay is always a welcome sight at the dinner table, and the team at Fox Tales have ticked all the right boxes with this refreshing, bright and beautifully balanced bottle. It’s the kind of wine you’ll want to pair with creamy Thai curries, pork chops with chermoula, chicken breast stuffed with creamy mushrooms or lemon and herbs, and whole roast poultry with all the trimmings. Heartier fish and seafood dishes of snapper, barra, lobster and crab will work fantastically well, and it’s also excellent with salads featuring avocado, quinoa and aromatic spices.

Wine region
South Australia, Australia
South Australia is a wide and varied state when it comes to wine production. From the coastal regions of Limestone Coast and McLaren Vale, to the warmer inland valleys of Barossa and Eden, to the flats of Langhorne Creek, there's a range of terroirs and temperatures across this wide brown land. As a result, wines labelled with only South Australia can display a range of flavours! The state is probably best known for Shiraz, Grenache and Cab Sav in reds, and Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white. Whatever your flavour, there's plenty to explore!
