Details
A idiosyncratic Argentinian Malbec. Dried earth aromas open up after a bit of air, with nuances of violets and layers of sweet spices such as cinnamon emerge. Savoury, with slightly bitter edge tannins that are noticeable both aromatically and on the palate. Ripe and full bodied, with an inherent generosity of fruit flavour and a built tannin structure from both oak and fruit. Not heavy, but full on. There is plenty happening here. A classic 'Reserva' Malbec.
The wine brand of Finca Las Moras is responsible for a wide range of wines from across Argentina - many different varieties, vineyards and styles. A really diverse collection of wines, with one thing in common - a desire to produce high quality wines that bear the stamp not only of Argentina, but of the cool-climate region of San Juan. Established in 1993, and utilising the incredible knowledge of Aussie viticultural legend Richard Smart, Finca Las Moras rapidly became one of the leading producers of high-quality wines in the region. Today, the company owns over 1,125 hectares of vineyards! From this they produce a number of different labels. For Finca Las Moras, the focus is on capturing the vivid, fruity taste of the easy drinking wines of San Juan. Sure, the vineyards are managed sustainably, and everything is top drawer, but the wines have no pretension or artifice. It's all about the end product, not the airs and graces behind the scenes. Which just so happens to be the kind of wines we love.

Pairing guide
We’ve all come to adore the deeply fruity, deliciously intense Malbec wines of the past few years, and this release from Finca Las Moras ticks all the right boxes when it comes to flavour and character. As for food pairing, this wine is going to be fantastic with offal dishes and game meats - the stronger and darker, the better. Smoked bacon, shortribs, and homemade burgers will also match brilliantly, and vegetarians will love this wine with baba ganoush and bean dips, strong blue cheeses, and smoked vegetables.
