This Spanish sparkler has a little bit of everything, for everyone. A blend of Airén, Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc, this beauty is aromatic, with wonderful top notes of lemon rind, honey and almond. There is a fabulously herbal, almost savoury character to this fizz, finishing up with a beautiful fruit-driven, grassy finish.
Origin: The original sparkling wines were made in a place called Limoux in southern France. Mainly Grown In: These days, the whole world sparkles - these styles are made anywhere and everywhere, from a range of grape varieties. Key Facts: Champagne gets all the attention, but there's so much more to the world of sparkling than that. In fact, there are four main methods of production for sparkling wine, each producing slightly different styles and flavours. What is common across all of them however is really focused, tangy acidity (due mostly to harvesting the grapes early - the acidity is needed to keep the sparkling wine fresh) and an elegant fruit profile. This beautiful Spanish sparkling wine is guaranteed to make a lasting impression, and really captures the briskness and brightness needed for the ultimate food pairing combos. We loved it with grilled asparagus, artichoke and hispi cabbage, and it’s ideal for matching with fried or raw seafood, battered fish fillets, vegetable or fish fritters and creamy pasta classics like carbonara. Risotto, paella, pilaf and other rice dishes will be excellent, and it’s also great with crisp green salads, loaded fries and onion rings - nice!
